New product development and expanded sales team lead to growth at Tag Systems

Tag Guard Systems provides highly effective wireless alarm, wireless CCTV, vehicle fleet management and lone worker security solutions. The company is experiencing strong growth in its UK and European markets. Growth is coming through an expanding network of strategic business partners and through group deals with national and regional companies in the building, construction and property management industries.

New product developments, led by the technical director Dr Vaughan Kitchin, have led to highly effective solutions in combating the theft of copper cables from quarries, substations and similar sites. Further development work is being undertaken by the technical team with the support of a DTI research and development grant with the aim of producing an entirely novel approach to compressed video streaming over mobile networks for CCTV applications.

A new look sales team in the UK was created in 2006 headed by Nick Evans, the (UK) Director of Sales. Three new regional managers were appointed in the second half of 2006 and further appointments are expected in the south and the north of the country in 2007. The new team consists of highly competent people with experience in security, sales and managing long-term relationships with customers.

We have ambitious targets for the coming year. The company is starting 2007 with a significantly improved order book and the prospect of exciting new contracts both in UK and in its expanding European market. “We are continuing to look for new strategic partners in the security industry to continue the growth in Germany and France and certain areas within UK.” said Richard Lang, the managing director.
